Dr. Ing. Norbert Pfleger

Strategy & Finance, Dr. Ing. (Computer Science)
Norbert Pfleger is co-founder and head of the management board at SemVox GmbH. He studied Computational Linguistics at Saarland University and worked as a researcher and senior researcher at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence, DFKI GmbH, for more than six years. During that time he wrote his PhD thesis under the supervision of Professor Wolfgang Wahlster. At SemVox, he is responsible for finances and strategic planning. Norbert Pfleger is author and co-author of more than 35 articles and publications in the area of dialog systems.

Alexander Pfalzgraf

Software Development & IT, Master of Science (Computer Science)
Alexander Pfalzgraf is co-founder and member of the management board at SemVox GmbH. After studying computer science at the University of Lübeck and at Saarland University, he worked as a researcher in the research lab called “Intelligent User Interfaces” at DFKI GmbH. At SemVox, he is head of the department Software Development & IT and therefore responsible for the technical and strategic development of the ODP-platform.

Jan Schehl

Solutions & Business Development, Diploma (Computational Linguistics)
Jan Schehl is co-founder and member of the management board at SemVox GmbH. After studying computational linguistics at Saarland University and the University of Lisbon, he worked as a researcher in the DFKI research lab called “Intelligent User Interfaces”. His main areas of interest were context-adaptive models for interaction and presentation planning and the realization in multimodal interaction systems. At SemVox he is responsible for the department SemVox Solutions & Business Development which functions as a link between development and sales.

Jochen Steigner

Marketing & Sales, Diploma (Computational Linguistics)
Jochen Steigner is co-founder and member of the management board at SemVox GmbH. He studied Computational Linguistics at Saarland University and afterwards worked as a researcher in the DFKI research lab called “Intelligent User Interfaces”. The results of his diploma thesis on multilingual automatic transcription in the context of a German speech synthesis system are part of the open source speech synthesis “MARY”, developed at DFKI. Jochen Steigner is head of the department Marketing & Sales and therefore responsible for the marketing and sales activities at SemVox.
